Childcare Places is a unique vacancy matching service for childcarers who have vacancies and care-4 parents looking for childcare.

National Childminding Association (NCMA) members can advertise their vacancies to parents taking part in the care-4 childcare voucher scheme, and care-4 parents can search online for those vacancies.

If you’re an NCMA member and you’ve not registered yet, click here to register.

NCMA MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE

If you haven’t already registered your interest with the NCMA, you will be unable to register with Childcare Places.

Please contact NCMA’s membership services line on 020 8290 2410 (Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm) and they will update their records. This information will be provided to Childcare Places at the END of each week.

Childcare Places will upload your relevant details at the start of the following week so that you can register with us online.

NOTE TO CARERS:

We want to clarify why your care-4 carer account with www.childcareplaces.co.uk was displaying the name “Nick McAdams”.

Some people have since contacted us and NCMA because they weren’t sure what this account was. When a childcarer signs up to register vacancies on www.childcareplaces.co.uk, we automatically create a care-4 carer account for them as parents using the site pay using care-4 childcare vouchers. You should have received a welcome pack through the post with your username and explaining about care-4 and how it works, so you should be familiar with care-4.

We had been contacted by some childcarers who were concerned because they had noticed a ‘child’ named Nick McAdams appear on their account and were worried that this was a fraudulent entry.

The entry “Nick McAdams” is a sample name which was entered on childcarer accounts by care-4 to enable care-4 to administer the site (each account needs to have at least one name listed).

Our email yesterday was a genuine email, intended to reassure you that the entry on your account was not fraudulent, but simply a sample name entered for care-4’s administration purposes.

However, we realise that this may have caused confusion and so, in the future, the sample listing will be given the ‘name’ Sample Child.

We are sorry for any confusion and I hope that this clarifies the situation.
